Online Marketing: One Secret to Success like Mike Dillard, Ann Sieg, Ty Tribble and Katie Freiling

The Secret to Success in Online MarketingDo you know the one and only secret to guru-type success in your online marketing business?  There is one difference between ultra successful marketers and people who are not yet seeing success with online marketing!  It’s a simple but profound lesson I learned from a clever marketer and I recorded a quick video to share it with you.

The One Secret to Online Marketing Success

I heard Kevin Wilke on an audio interview by Tellman Knudson a couple of years ago and I was thinking about it recently.  In the beginning he was sharing his experiences with online marketing when he was just getting started. He had a big aha moment at a marketing event.  There were people up on stage who were ultra successful and where he wanted to be in his business. It dawned on him that the only difference between himself and the people on stage was they had more knowledge and experience.

Think about the leaders in your online marketing industry. I’m a network marketer so I think of people like Mike Dillard, Ann Sieg, Ty Tribble, and Katie Freiling.  They have reached a level of success that I want to reach and I’m working hard to get there.  The only difference about where they are and where I am, is that they have more experience than I have. I can gain experience by being out there and doing it. Experience gives us knowledge, wisdom, the ability to make wiser choices, and fewer mistakes.

The only way to gain experience in online marketing is…

…to be out there and making it happen!

If you stop and assess right now where you are and what you are doing in your business, I promise that you have gained experience on some things.  If you were to look back at the first time you did them, it was pretty hard, but now going back to do it again, it’s not as difficult.

For me, I’m new to blogging, and when I first got my blog set up and I had my first few post done, it was hard. I really had to think about it a lot and trying to make sure that I was doing everything correctly–“did it actually publish?”–“Oh my goodness, I forgot to add keywords.”  There are a lot of little things like this that I now do without having to really think about them.

When we’re getting started in our online marketing business it feels hard.  But now, after writing 50 -60 posts, it’s not so bad, and I’m still learning, and I’m sure it will get even easier as I go.

This moment…right NOW is the hardest point in your online marketing business!

Tomorrow will be a little bit easier. You’ll know more and understand more because you’ll have experienced more.

As you continue to grow, you’re going to take on new challenges, tackle new projects, and do things that you haven’t done before and it’s going to feel uncomfortable. You’ll be hearing those voices in your head that are telling you things like: “You’re not good enough; You can’t do this; Who do you think you are?”   But I promise you if you push past those things and you keep it; it will get easier and you will reach success in your business.

I hope you have an amazing day and I hope it is ultra successful for you and you stretch your comfort zone. Thank you for watching this video (reading this post) and for being a part of this journey with me. I’m so excited about the things that are happening in my business, and I sure hope that by sharing my journey with you, I’m helping you too.  Please give me feedback on the comments below and share this on twitter and Facebook!

  2. Heather,

Just like anything else, practice makes perfect. Many bloggers fail because they gave up too early, but if you can keep writing quality posts and make yourself present on other blogs (either by commenting, sharing them or through guest posts) success will come. Being a successful blogger takes patience and determination.

    Great post! 😉

  3. Heather, you are right about experience! It is really our best teacher and we won’t improve any without it!

Aside from that, the more experience that we gain (including mistakes) the more empowered we will feel because of all of the growth!

    Thank you for sharing! 🙂
