Network Marketing Success Mindset: 4 Areas of Belief

Network Marketing Success Mindset: 4 Key Areas of BeliefDo you have a strong network marketing success mindset?  Do you feel confident sharing your products and opportunity with people you meet both online and offline.

I know that a lot of my readers are successful network marketers who are building both online and offline, but I also know that some of my readers are wanting to build a business online and I want to question if it is because you are trying to avoid having to talk to people in your warm market?

It’s an important question and one that may make some people uncomfortable, but I believe that answering it is essential if you’re going to have a success mindset in your network marketing business.

There are a lot of people wanting to market online so they don’t have to “bug” their friends and family, but I believe that what we have is a gift so share and if you’re holding back from sharing the gifts of network marketing and your company with people you meet in person, you may be lacking in one of these 4 areas of belief.

Network Marketing Success Mindset Video: 4 Areas of Belief

How strong is your belief?  I know that there is a big push to want to build their business online.  And I’m right there with you, I’m doing the same thing, but I’ve also built a business in my warm market.

I really see people struggle sometimes because their belief in the 4 key areas are not strong enough.

The 4 key areas of belief for a strong network marketing success mindset are:

  • Belief in your company
  • Belief in your products
  • Belief in the network marketing industry
  • Belief in yourself

And if you don’t have enough belief in all four of these areas, you are not going to feel comfortable speaking up about your opportunity or your company or your products to people in your warm market.  And the big tendency for people to want to market online allows them to hide behind their computer and socialize safely through twitter and Facebook and not really have to put themselves into a vulnerable position.

I’m not saying you have to be in a vulnerable position in your business, but if your belief is so strong and you’ve got so much conviction right down to the core that what you’re doing can help people; that what you’re offering can change lives you can’t help but to talk about it with the people that you come across.

I recently had this experience where my success mindset left me compelled to share my opportunity with someone in my warm market.  I was at parent night at school to meet my daughter’s teacher, and see her third grade classroom, locker, desk, and hear about all the wonderful things she’s learning.  And I bumped into a woman who I had met in Brownies, and after talking with her I learned that she and her husband had been laid-off and she said that they were really struggling.

Who gets hurt if you don’t have a network marketing success mindset?

If you are hesitant and you are holding back from sharing your opportunity with your warm market, who does that serve?  You have a gift to share, you have something that could really, really change lives.  In my opinion if you are only marketing your business online and you are not sharing that with the people you have in your warm market you are doing them a disservice. You are being selfish.  And I don’t think that that is what any of us want to be in our business.

And if you don’t build your belief in your company, products, network marketing industry and yourself that is the reason why you’re not comfortable prospecting in your warm market?

My suggestion is to do both: leverage the power of the internet give leverage to yourself, the gift of being able to help more people, make more money, and spend less time working.  But when you come across someone like I did last night, who your business and your opportunity could really, really benefit and be a blessing to them; by all means don’t hold back!  Please share this!

This network marketing industry is such a powerful thing and can help so many people and it is absolutely not something that we need to keep a secret or keep only to the people who are wanting to build a business online.  It’s a very powerful, powerful tool to change a life and I want to encourage you to share it!

How do you build your network marketing success mindset?

I want to encourage you to bulk up your network marketing success mindset by taking the time to read your company’s literature, become a product of your company’s products, and learn more about the power of the network marketing industry.  And by all means invest in your personal development so you can grow your confidence and your belief in yourself!

And I promise you when you bulk up your belief in these four areas you will be unstoppable in your business!  Having a network marketing success mindset is the key to unlocking your passion in sharing this opportunity with everyone you meet online and offline!

Please share this on facebook and twitter if you enjoyed this post.  You are on a dofollow blog so you will get a little link love from me!  Oh, and please comment below with your thoughts on the four key areas of belief and having a success mindset in your network marketing business!

  1. Hi Heather,

Belief in all 4 of those areas is key.

I agree, it’s not good to withhold the information from people who could benefit from it.

I think part of the problem is that people are so sick of getting pitched. On top of that, if they were a pitcher to start with, the shock and realization of what they were doing makes it hard to bring it up again later.

There is a great middle ground. Knowing when and how to bring it up is golden.

Without the beliefs that you talk about, it will seem flimsy when brought up and that’s when people have a hard time taking you seriously.

    Thanks for a great message!

    • Heather C Stephens says:

      Hi Susanna,

I totally agree that people are sick of getting pitched but I don’t think sharing our products and/or opportunity has to be about pitching. I’ve found for myself, when I make a connection with someone on an emotional level and come to them with something that I feel might really be a viable solution to them…and especially if I’m not tied to the outcome, but coming from a place of sincerity and wanting to help, I don’t think people feel pitched or obligated in any way.

You’re right that when people present the opportunity and products without a strong mindset and belief it does sound a empty. Belief has a sound to it!

Thanks so much for your great comment!

  2. Hi Heather,

interesting post. I don’t discriminate between warm market and other markets. It’s all about targeting and duplication.

When it comes to business builders: Do people in your warm market recently have expressed the desire of building themselves a business from home ? If so, go for them. If not, stay away.

When it comes to customers: Do they recently have expressed the desire of using the products you offer, do they need them or are they already spending money on similar products ? If so, go for them. If not, stay away.

    Thanks for sharing your insights.

    Take care

      Hi Oliver,

I don’t think for a second that you were someone who would discriminate between online and offline. You make a great point that targeting the people who are actually looking for what we have to offer and not going for just anyone with a pulse! It goes back to my previous post on the Seth Godin Creating a Movement Tribe Video about finding the people who are looking for what we have to offer.

You’re right, someone is not going to be effective to share the products or business opportunity with just anyone, but it is very empowering to own a strong belief in our products, company, industry, and ourselves, and having a strong belief and passion for what we’re doing can give us the confidence to speak up when someone presents a need like I experienced at my daughter’s school.

I’ve been in plenty of other situations early in my “network marketing career” where my belief wasn’t strong and I was too nervous to speak up. It took growing the strong network marketing success mindset and building those areas of belief to really get the “courage” (if you want to call it that), to push my comfort zone and share what I had to offer with others. I think having the strong belief also gives us posture with whom we’re talking.

Thanks for your great comment, Oliver! I appreciate it.

  3. Hi

      Hi Abishek,

Thanks for your comment. I’m glad you liked the post. Belief in all four areas is a must in my opinion and I think that belief in ourselves is the one that matters most! 🙂 But we can lean on our belief in the other areas until the “belief in ourselves” area is strong enough.

  4. Hey Heather.. great post

I agree – that’s where it all starts. Believing that you can actually do this and make it work will take you really far.

    Thanks for sharing this

      Thanks Hector!

Everything boils down to belief, doesn’t it? It’s amazed me how much belief has to do with all this entrepreneurial stuff! I never would have thought going into business that it would be such an emotional journey of personal growth!

      Thanks for your comment!

  5. this video is powerful Heather, I had to Re tweet it and share it on Facebook.I don’t think people in network marketing understand how many people can be hurt by you not having a network marketing success mindset. Great post girl. Keep them coming.

    • Heather C Stephens says:

      Thank you Kareem!

I appreciate you sharing it and I really appreciate your comment! It’s not about us…it’s about who we can help with our products and opportunity that really matters and if we don’t have enough belief to share it, that doesn’t serve anyone!

I just love that success in this business is based on how successful we are at helping others. There’s nothing better than that…everyone wins if we have the right mindset and attitude going into it!

      Thanks for your comment!

  6. That was an awkwardly powerful post. I left a company that I didn’t believe in. I was convinced to join for monetary reasons, but found that it is actually hard for me to sell what I don’t believe in. I have since realized how important mindset is. Thanks for making me think deeply about this again.

    • Heather C Stephens says:

      Hi Terry,

I hope this isn’t a duplicate comment reply for you…my apology if it is. I tried replying and my computer froze as I was sending it.

I had a similar situation right before my daughter was born. I joined kitchen/cookware supply company which is a great company that has great products and I know there are lots of successful people in it, but I was not a match for it.

I was thinking of it being a way to earn enough money to stay home with my daughter when she was born, but I wasn’t considering the fact that I hate to cook! I ended up doing one “party” and smoking out the house because something ran over in the oven. Ever recipe was a flop and I felt so phony standing up in front of all those women sharing the products that I really didn’t have a passion for myself.

Just like you I have realized how important it is to find the right company with products you can really get behind and would share with others even if there wasn’t an income opportunity attached to it!

Thanks for sharing your story. It meant a lot to me!

  7. Spot on, Heather! These are the 4 areas of belief that can make all the difference. Believing in yourself is the major one as your success starts with you, that you are successful, then the rest will follow.

Awesome post. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

    All the best,
    Mavis Nong

  8. Hi Heather,

Great post. I too feel that people need to have the belief in their business, company, product and themselves. If people don’t have that belief it can be a struggle. What’s really great is that doesn’t have to be that way.

The way you spoke about engaging your warm market is a very powerful way to grow your business. Using the web and your local warm market is something I’m a big fan. This is how I run my business.

Thank you for this great video.

      Hi Jerome,

I think that the web is just a way to expand your warm market. When it comes down to the basics…this is a relationship business and you can build relationships online and offline.

There are so many resources available at our fingertips anytime day/night to help us build our belief in the 4 areas and have a success mindset that there is really no reason for anyone to struggle talking to people.

I’m glad you commented and shared your thoughts. Thanks Jerome.

  9. Hi Heather, Such a good post and blog. I found you thru Grow with Stacy. She mentioned your blog in her post. I very much agree with the mindset that we need to have. Blessings, Amy

    • Heather C Stephens says:

      Hi Amy,

Glad you found me. Stacy has an awesome blog and I totally love her writing.

Thanks for commenting and welcome, welcome, welcome! I’m thrilled to “meet” you!

  10. Thanks for sharing…it is easy to find out where your beliefs are strong or weak.

If a person is promoting the business opportunity and getting a lot of success in that area and not the products or services of the company, they have more belief in the area they can readily promote.
