Dear Overwhelmed Blogger,
“If you don’t take control of your time now,
you’ll hate yourself later!”
Give me 5 minutes and I’ll show you how to build your blog, market your business,
be a social media butterfly, make more money, still have time for your family,
and yes, even have time for yourself too!

No, I’m not kidding.
You may have started your business so you could be a stay at home mom or dad, or so that you could have more time to do what you love while enjoying financial freedom through residual income.
You’ve been working hard, investing in yourself and your business, paying your dues now, hoping and praying that the rewards will eventually come.
But you’ve worked yourself silly, sacrificing the time with your kids, family and yourself, believing it would be worth it in the long run, and you’re now wondering how long this marathon will be.

It all boils down to this, you are caught in a catch 22…
Your kids won’t stop growing while you take time away from them to grow your business, but your business won’t grow by itself.
Ask yourself…
Do you feel like you’re busier now and working harder than you ever have before?
Could you easily work 48 hours a day and still not feel caught up?
Do you ever find yourself still in your pj’s at noon, having accomplished next to nothing?
Do you struggle to stay focused because you’re bombarded with too many distractions online and at home?
Are you plagued with guilt because you are spending more time with your business than your family?
Do you feel like the money goes out of your business faster than it comes in?
It doesn’t have to feel this way. You can build a blog, market your business,
make money, and still have time to have a life!
It is possible to get caught up, focus on the money making activities and stop the night-time worries. And yes, you can make real money in your business without burning more of the midnight oil and feeling so overtired the next day you can’t think straight.
It’s not your fault that you’re overwhelmed. Marketing your business online can be like opening Pandora’s box of time sucking activities. Think about what you typically do in a day:
Building your blog
Writing compelling content
Sharing your content
Networking with others
Commenting on blogs
Twittering on twitter
Keeping up with friends on Facebook
Creating videos for YouTube
Guest Posting
Balancing your business budget
Investing your time and money into trainings
Studying SEO & building back links
Hosting or attending webinars and teleseminars
Sending & answering emails
Reading books, blogs, and emails
Returning voice mail
And that’s just the beginning! I’m not even counting the things you’re doing for your team, your business, your family, your household, or yourself? (I know, I know, you don’t have time for yourself, right?)
So what’s next?
How do you possibly make sense of this chaos,
get control of your time and take back your life?
We need to live and work by two laws of time:
1. Parkinson’s law: “Work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion.”
2. Pareto’s principle: “80% of your profits come from 20% of the time you spend.”
I’m confident that this isn’t news to you. It wasn’t news to me either. The challenge for me came when I was trying to apply these laws to my business.
I struggled to see what activities were giving me the biggest bang for the buck and the biggest results for my efforts. And then there were all the distractions in the form of emails, webinars, marketing techniques, and training programs that attacked my inbox and led me way off track with their hypnotic marketing. I’d end up spending days lost in a fog of confusion as to what steps I should be taking next in my business.
I made countless lists and schedules, bought timers, and several different day planners, trying to stay focused, only to throw them away after a day or two because they were too structured for my creative ADHD entrepreneurial brain to stick with.
I felt like I was having to adapt my business and life to fit the day planner instead of having one that adapted to my life.
So I finally got smart and took the best day planner I’d purchased and started to tweak it for my needs. I paper clipped pages to help me track, organize, and plan my business each month, other pages to help me brainstorm ideas for my writing and I added in the various checklists I’d created to help me with SEO and copywriting. I also added in pages to help me keep track of my logins, my goals, my editorial schedules for my blog, my marketing systems, etc.
I’ve spent the majority of the last year tweaking this daily planner, adapting it to fit my specific needs as a blogger and a home based business owner and I’ve truly refined it into a system that grows my blog even when I’m not writing every day. It has taken me from a newbie blogger with no traffic to getting several hundreds of visitors every day. And now that I’m both building my own online business and working as a social media manager for a huge online company, being organized is more important than ever.
“I asked my readers what their biggest challenges in their business were,
and they (almost unanimously) replied that they also struggled
with overwhelm, lack of focus, and time management.”
Well, after sending my readers a survey to fill out, asking them what frustrates them and makes them want to pull their hair out with their business, I was shocked to see that almost every single person replied with answers of feeling overwhelmed, overworked, distracted, and out of time.
I have not shared their names or business names to protect their privacy, but clearly, this is a struggle many business owners face! Here’s what some of them had to say:
What is it that keeps you up at night with worry?
“Hmmm what I worry about is whether we can all keep working at the insane levels that we have to just to keep up with the pace of change, technology etc I am busier now than ever before and while I love what I do there is just too much of more, more and more!”
“Everything that I have to catch-up on the next day!”
“Wondering if I will ever make enough money to be able to ditch my job and live the free life.”
“How long it will take to become profitable and if I am sacrificing my relationship with my son as I push to succeed.”
What frustrates you and makes you want to “pull your hair out” about your business?
“I enjoy spending time connecting with others, but I feel like I don’t have time for myself.”
“I have to say it’s the constant distractions — the next best system, company, tool, or lead source.”
What daily struggles do you encounter in your business?
“I think a lot, do little. Get side-tracked easily.”
“The main one for me is being able to focus. There is just too much going on and I am too curious and want to do too much.”
“Enough focus and needing to be more effective in the way of setting up automated things.”
“Finding the time to get it all done when I know I need to be doing more of other things.”
What is the biggest business obstacle you deal with?
“Tech stuff. and lack of time”
If you could learn how to do one thing, what would it be?
“Do less better and ignore all the distractions.”
“Spread myself out ‘more’ ie: sharing… without all the time it takes. I guess efficiency might be the better way to put it. I am sure there is a better way to mass market.”
What is the biggest improvement you could make to your marketing and life that would help you achieve your goals/dreams?
“Consistent action-oriented activities that would conquer fear and build confidence.”
“Become more efficient at writing quality articles and posts.”
“48 hours in a day. OK… scuse the sarcasm”
“Learn more leverage and productivity techniques and figure out better ways to leverage my time to get more done in my business.”
What would you do anything or pay almost anything to achieve, solve, or get rid of?
“What I need is a 72 hour day… do you have access to these too?? LOL”
After reading the survey results it was clear to me that I had to find a way to share my business planning system with other bloggers.

So I’ve spent the last six months refining the day planner I’ve been using. Combining my day planner with my worksheets, editorial calendars, social media checklists, SEO checklists etc. and assembling them into a day planner customized for bloggers, by a blogger. And since I’m a mom too, I included things like a menu planner and shopping list for each week, and plenty of room to keep track of the important events and daily schedules for our busy family of five.
The image is a digital, but rest assured, the actual day planner is a REAL physical item that will be shipped to you, not some e-book that will get lost on your hard drive, forgotten, and never used.
You can have a life beyond your blog! You just need to ditch the overwhelm, dump the stress, and stop being drained by your business and trade it all for more time, more focus, more effective action, and more profit!

This is the system I desperately needed, but couldn’t find so I build it myself. I’ve used it for most of the last year and a half and it has helped me monetize my marketing, stay focused on my goals, and given me a snapshot of what activities I need to be working on to manage 2 blogs and grow 2 businesses.
Because of the dreaming, goal setting and planning with this system I’ve created the prove it challenge, launched a forum, created several information products, written more then 170 blog posts, interviewed experts, coached clients, built websites, etc.
All while raising 3 kids, being a wife, a social media manager, and building my network marketing business.
I know the Blogger’s Biz Planner will help you like it’s helped me!
These are just a few of the details of this planner:
This is a real, spiral bound day planner with a durable frosted cover, that folds flat for easy writing.
It is 8.5 x 11 so that there is plenty of room to write, take notes, and doodle when you’re brainstorming (if you’re a doodler like I am!)
I added a reminder to update your main social media profiles, a way to track your blog’s growth and your daily appointments.
There is a place to jot down your blog post, article of video topic ideas for each day of the week.
There is a place to plan your family’s menu and shopping list each week.
Plus a place to list your top 3 “no matter what” priorities for each day.
There is even a place to track your mileage and expenses so tax time isn’t such a dreadful nightmare!
