Playing with my son this morning inspired a little marketing funnel fun that is totally relevant for those of us building a network marketing internet business!
My girls were on a scavenger hunt in the basement yesterday while tidying up their play area. They discovered an old forgotten toy they used to love and brought it upstairs thinking my son would enjoy it. I never dreamed I’d have a son playing with it, let alone realized it would give me such a great visual of a marketing funnel to use as a teaching tool today, when I bought it for them years and years ago!
I’ve been reviewing some information from Mike Klingler (one of the first clever marketers I started to follow) in his Marketing Funnel Mastery* training while building out parts of my own marketing funnel here on clevermarketer.com. I’m in the process of putting some finishing touches on my front end offer, so please stay tuned for that in the next couple of weeks.
But in the meantime…My assignment as part of the course was to create a video that showed what’s important to me while relating it to my business. This SO fits me! Even though I felt like I was literally loosing my marbles trying to record this video, and ended up having to piece together about 5 different video clips to get the entire message completed, I had so much fun playing with my son while relating it to my business.
That’s the best part of having a home business, in my opinion, being able to blur the lines between work and play.
So let’s get on with the Marketing Funnel fun!
We had a surprise at the end of our marketing funnel, and one I hope we all get to experience in our businesses. I’m going to call that the typical “server” crash…a great problem to have…that many big product launches claim to have!
And my favorite part of the video is at the very end and while you watch it, please ask yourself how loved your subscribers would feel if they knew you got this excited when they joined your list?
The assembly of a great Marketing Funnel:
- Remember a good marketing funnel for your network marketing internet business starts with great content and networking leading people to your blog that contains your lead capture (opt-in) form. You want to start your funnel off with a great free offer that will entice your readers and have them excited to jump into your marketing funnel and join your list.
- The next step of your marketing funnel will be to start to monetize your marketing with a front end offer. It should relate or compliment your free offer and should give your readers/subscribers a chance to do business with you without a lot of risk. Make this paid product something affordable. Under $50 most likely, but possibly as low as $10 depending on your niche and what they’re comfortable spending. This could be a product that you create yourself (which I recommend) or it could be an affiliate product that relates to your free offer.
- Continue to build our your marketing funnel as your business progresses. Remember to being with the end in mind. If the ending of your marketing funnel is having someone join your in your network marketing internet business, the middle pieces of your funnel should all lead them to that.
- Don’t make this too hard! Start small and build as you go. Get your Clever Marketer Kit to discover how to add 7 streams of income to your network marketing business. It includes an audio that will show you seven potential steps for your marketing funnel!
