Clever Marketer Tip: Talk Your Way to Easy MLM Blog Content

You can listen to the post here:

Talk Your Way to Easy MLM Blog ContentWant to get easy MLM blog content by writing a 300-600 word blog post in about 3 minutes without having to type?

I have a really fun, clever marketer tip for you today that will help you to be able to just talk your way into easy MLM blog content.

How I Discovered this Clever MLM Blog Content Creation Secret:

I discovered this secret because a little while ago I wrote a post with a tip to get SEO for Videos on your network marketing blog. The secret was to transcribe your videos into text so that you can get rankings on your keywords and offer your blog visitors a chance to skim your content if they don’t have time to listen to your video. It also helps you to appeal to various learning styles.

So I’ve tried my hand at transcribing a few videos and the audio for my clever marketer kit and I’m just not great at it. It takes me forever.

My options are to outsource the transcription to a place like elance, but that adds expense and time. I’ve also looked into programs that I could purchase that would allow me to transcribe my voice to text but they weren’t cheap.

And as with everything, God gave me a solution from a really unexpected source. I was on a blog and saw a comment luv link  by a woman who I had never heard of. Her name is Stacia Hopkins.  I followed the link. She shared with her readers a really awesome free tool from Google called Google Voice that would allow me to turn an audio into MLM blog content really easily.

She’s got a great video on her blog, which I’ll embed for you below, but I saw some really great benefits to what she was sharing.

Benefits of Google Voice for Easy MLM Blog Content:

First of all, some people aren’t great at writing and they really struggle to put their thoughts into words. This would be a way for them to turn their thoughts, just through talking, into into text for their MLM blog content.

I’m a busy mom on the go and it’s always the case, that I’ll get a great blog idea when I’m out and about and I have no way of writing it down. I’ve learned to just call myself at home and leave a voice message to remind me of what the blog post was that I was thinking of was of.

And the neat thing is that with Google Voice, is that I can still do that, only I could take up to 3 minutes and record a message that Google will transcribe automatically for me that I can paste on my blog.  And that can be my whole blog post! I don’t have to take the time to really compose the message and write the post and all of that.

You can set up your account for free. It will record a message at 3 minutes and transcribe it for you.  And it’s just a really neat tip for getting great MLM blog content really quickly.

I encourage you to give it a try!  You never know when a great blog idea is going to pop into your mind, and this way you can seize the moment and create your content on the go!

The player at the top of the post is an example of the embedded player that Google voice gives you…and please check out Stacia’s awesome video below!

Here’s Stacia’s video, she has lots of great ideas for re-purposing your Google Voice messages into various formats of MLM blog content.

I hope you enjoyed this Clever Marketer tip.  Please tweet it, share it on Facebook and comment if it brought you value. You are on a dofollow blog so you will get a little link-love from me!  Oh, and please share with us your favorite secret for creating great mlm blog content on the go!

  2. Hi, CleverMarketing person.

On a good day, under the best technical conditions, the best I can expect of Google Voice transcripts is for it to render voice into a near facsimile of what was said.

What do you expect of a bot?

If you want to have a ready-for-prime-time transcript to repurpose for anything without fuss, muss, or wasting your time, you need something better – like a human.

    • Heather C Stephens says:

      Hi Alan,

You’re right that the transcription isn’t perfect and a human would by far be best, but for me it is much faster to tweak/edit the transcription from Google than it is to transcribe it for myself. And I can’t help but to love the fact that it’s free and almost instant (it took about 10 minutes for a 3 minute message to be transcribed).

There are times where I would absolutely recommend a human for a transcription, but for a quick and easy way to create mlm blog content while on the go, I think that Google voice works great.

Anyone who uses it should absolutely be aware of the fact that they will have to edit the transcript and read it carefully to make sure the words Google chooses are accurate. But even so, it shouldn’t take anywhere near as long as transcribing something from scratch would take.

I’m not sure how it would work with various accents and dialects, I can only base the accuracy based on my own experience.

Thanks for your comment and for sharing your point of view!

I so appreciate your comment…sorry again for the delay in my reply.

  7. Awesome Heather,

Thank you for sharing Stacia’s video. That was really great!

I’m going to play with it, I think it could be a very useful tool.

    • Heather C Stephens says:

      HI Susanna,

      Hope it works for you!

I’ve only played with it a couple of times, but it’s pretty darned easy. I gave the number to one of my coaching clients last week and she used it to give me a testimonial that is on my blog now. Easy for her, easy for me!

Are you thinking of it to transcribe your videos? I’d love to hear how it works for you. I would think it would be pretty easy, as long as the videos are under 3 minutes long (which is the time limit for the recording with Google voice, I believe.)

      Good luck!
