7 Ways to Monetize Your Marketing & Create Additional Streams of Income

7 Ways to Monetize Your Marketing and Create Additional Streams of IncomeAre you creating additional streams of income outside your network marketing business  Are you getting paid for your marketing?  I’m in the process of going through the Marketing Funnel Mastery training by Mike Klingler and sketching out the marketing funnel for my business.  It’s caused me to step back and think about various additional streams of income I’d like to create with my online marketing.

In the training Mike teaches about leveraging the “sweet spots” of your marketing funnel and the importance of having the big picture in your mind as to what you want your subscribers or prospects to ultimately do.

Marketing Funnels to Create Additional Streams of Income:

A strong online business will eventually have several different marketing funnels in place, but to get started sketch out a plan that includes 4 steps:

  1. Irresistible Offer: What do you have in place to entice people to opt into your list?
  2. Front End Offer: What do you offer them after they opt in?  (This is usually something inexpensive to give your customer a chance to do business with you at the entry level with very little risk to them.)
  3. Back End Offer: What do you offer them after they purchase? (Can they make a bigger purchase to get even more information and training from you?)
  4. Follow-up Offers: What do you offer them in addition to their purchase? (This can be an affiliate product, your network marketing opportunity, etc.)

I’m still working to build out my marketing funnel and create my products that will ultimately become a part of it.  I’ll be sharing more information on product creation in a future post, but one thing to think about when you’re creating a product for your marketing funnel is to make sure that you’re adding value to your market.

So far I’ve brainstormed 7 ways to monetize your marketing and add additional streams of income:

Each one of these options will allow you to add additional value, build trust and credibility in your market, and of course, add additional streams of income to your business:

  1. Build your email list
  2. Create your own product
  3. Create your own monthly membership program
  4. Leverage affiliates for your own products and/or be an affiliate for others
  5. Create a done for you service
  6. Implement a coaching program or a consulting service
  7. Leverage your past skills

If this was helpful to you please share it with others. I’d love to hear what other ways you’ve monetized your marketing and created additional streams of income in your online business!

  1. Great post, Heather! I really like the way that you have boiled down the essence of a funnel. I know that there was a time when I used to think that you just go straight into the primary offer, but now I know that there are several steps to building the multiple streams of income that will give us our financial freedom.

Thanks for commenting Steve. I’m glad you liked the post. I’m still developing my funnel, but personally, I can testify that it is causing me to step up my game and think of the steps it takes to get to my big picture. I tend to be a dreamer–an “idea” person–but I have to force myself to break them down and really get clear on how I’m going to make them happen!

  2. Hi Heather,
The info you shared is so key, specially to those just starting out. Your own funnel system is huge. When you have all the elements in place, it runs like a car. It will give back to you. Besides, there is no reason not to develop a funnel or adopt one already established, it seems the most effective way to feed others who are attracted by what you have to offer and maintain that relationship for years to come.

Thanks for commenting Joe! I love how you pointed out that there really is no reason why not to develop a funnel or adopt one that is already established! We all have something of value to contribute and a strong marketing funnel will allow us to get that value into the hands and minds of the people we are here to serve.

Glad to have you on my blog. Thanks again for stopping by!

  3. Hi Heather,

What a beautiful website you have. I have actually been doing things the other way home as a busy mum who works full-time, I have been monetising my marketing efforts by doing pretty much everything on your list. I am going to go into network marketing when I have built up enough revenue this way.

    I am having a blast!

    Thanks for your tips,

      Thanks so much, Beth!

In a way I admire you for taking the backwards approach. Our journeys are what they are, but I know I would have avoided a lot of the struggles I had in the beginning of my network marketing business if I had gotten a better understanding of marketing and started to build my list online first. Unfortunately, in my opinion the majority of people in network marketing have forgotten the “marketing” part of the business. They focus on building networks but not building a marketing funnel that will make the building networks a whole lot easier!

Good luck on your goals! I appreciate you stopping by and commenting!

      Thanks so much,

  4. Heather,

Another great post with some great tips. This seems to be an area where a lot of people get hung up, yet it is so simple and effective. Thanks for laying it all out 🙂

      Thanks for commenting Jon!

I know this is an area where I was hung up for a while. It’s easy for me (and most of us) to think something’s going to be harder than it is before you do it. I always try to remind myself that where I am right now…wherever I am in my business, this is the hardest it will ever be because every time I do something new and gain experience, it’s easier the next time around. And when building a marketing funnel, everyone can start small and build it bigger block by block.

Have a great rest of your week!

  5. This is all so true, Heather. Creating the enticing offers of value and creating our very own product is important in the whole marketing funnel plan. I just keep plugging away. Thanks for your help. Blessings, Amy
